We immediately serve stranded EV motorists.

EV-trained technicians and marked trucks carrying EV-rated jacks, loaner wheels, 12V batteries and lockout tools — so your car is driven away under its own power, not towed.

EV Rescue was founded in 2014 to solve a problem the EV industry still hasn't: stranded EVs being towed for problems that could be fixed on the spot. Towing a dead EV can damage door mechanisms, frunks, and drive units — and it leaves the driver waiting hours for a tow truck that can't actually solve the problem.

We dispatch marked trucks equipped for every major EV platform. An EV-trained technician arrives, fixes the tire, 12V, lockout or wheel hardware on scene, and you drive away.

We operate 24/7 across greater Houston, the entire DFW metroplex, and the I-45 corridor including Huntsville, Conroe, College Station, and Bryan. Fleet and concierge contracts are available for commercial operators.

EV Rescue is a private, Texas-owned electric-vehicle roadside assistance company based in Dallas. We are not a dealer hotline, an insurance call queue, or a tow broker that farms your call out to whoever answers. When you call us, a Dallas dispatcher picks up and an EV technician is assigned to your car — usually on scene in under 30 minutes.

We do tires, 12V batteries, lockouts, wheel locks, broken lug studs, blowouts, on-scene diagnostics and safe EV transport. We do it 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex and Greater Houston.

Why an EV needs its own roadside company

Almost no electric vehicle sold today ships with a spare tire. The wheel well is where the battery pack, the frunk structure, or the sound system lives instead. So a nail in a sidewall on the Dallas North Tollway is not a fifteen-minute swap with the kit in your trunk — it is a stranded car unless somebody arrives with a matching tire, a plug kit, or a loaner wheel.

The second failure mode surprises even long-time owners: the little 12V accessory battery. It runs the door handles, the screens, the contactors and the computer that wakes the high-voltage pack. When it dies, the car does not limp — it goes completely dark. You are locked out of your own vehicle, the charge port will not open, the shifter will not engage, and there is no power to move it an inch. A gas-car service truck with jumper cables and a floor jack is the wrong tool for that.

That is the entire reason this company exists. EV-rated jack pads so the rocker sills do not crush. Correct 12V chemistry and terminal locations for every major platform. Manual frunk release and jump-stud procedures per brand. Wheel-lock master key sets. And technicians trained to work around a high-voltage system rather than guess at it.

How we started

We began in 2014 as an EV consultancy in Texas and kept fielding the same call: an early Model S owner sitting on a shoulder with a flat and no spare, or a car that had gone dark in a garage and would not open. The tow trucks dispatched by insurers routinely arrived with the wrong equipment, and more than one owner ended up with a bent control arm or a scarred rocker panel.

So we built the truck we wished would show up. Ten years later the equipment is far better and the fleet is far bigger, but the philosophy has not changed: fix it where it sits, do not tow what does not need towing, and tell the customer the price before anybody turns a wrench.

Same-day, ASAP, under 30 minutes

Our promise is deliberately narrow so we can actually keep it: same-day ASAP dispatch, with a typical on-scene time of under 30 minutes inside the DFW core and our Houston coverage zone. We hold that number by staging trucks near the corridors where calls actually come from — I-635, I-35E, US-75 Central, the Dallas North Tollway, the President George Bush Turnpike, I-30 and the DFW Airport ring — rather than running everything out of one yard.

If your location pushes us past 30 minutes, you hear the real ETA on the phone before we roll. We would rather lose the call than miss the promise.
